How to use these numbers

Price your services with confidence

Switch to “I need to receive a set amount” and enter your target payout. The calculator reverse-engineers how much you must invoice on each platform, eliminating under-quoting and late surprises.

Create transparent client proposals

Drop the share link into your proposal or onboarding document. Clients instantly see how gateway fees influence the final payout, making upsells to local bank transfers or UPI much easier.

Embed on your community site

Use the embed widget with your brand colour to create a sticky resource. Members can interact, tweak numbers, and generate their own shareable snapshots without leaving your site.

FAQ: INR payment gateway fees

Are these fee percentages accurate for every transaction?

The calculator uses publicly advertised pricing for standard Indian merchant accounts as of 2024. Marketplaces, charity pricing, or enterprise volumes may trigger custom pricing, so always confirm with your account manager.

How do FX markups affect my payout?

When clients pay in USD/EUR/GBP and you withdraw in INR, providers apply an additional foreign exchange markup beyond the mid-market rate. We estimate a 2% FX markup for Payoneer and Stripe, and 3.5% for PayPal.

Can I remove the FX markup for domestic INR payments?

Yes. If both you and your client transact entirely in INR, set the invoice currency to INR and collect via UPI or domestic card rails. In that scenario you can mentally subtract the FX component shown here.
